Microplastics are tiny bits of plastic that are less than 5 millimeters in size, and they have now become a part of the air we breathe. These small particles come from plastic waste, car tires, and even clothes made from synthetic materials like polyester. When plastics break down or when we wash such clothes, microplastics are released into the air. Though invisible, they can enter our lungs and may harm our health. Scientists are still studying their effects, but it is clear that this pollution is growing. To reduce it, we should use less plastic, wear natural fabrics like cotton, and recycle as much as possible. Every small action can help make our air cleaner and safer for everyone.
