Wastewater management is the process of collecting, treating, and reusing wastewater to protect water resources and public health. Wastewater treatment removes contaminants from wastewater before it reaches bodies of water like lakes, rivers, and oceans, and can make it safe to use again for drinking and washing. This process is also known as sewage treatment.
