The Sustainable Development Goals ( SDG's), also known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, aiming to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. This ambitious framework comprises 17 interconnected goals, ranging from ending hunger and achieving good health and quality education to promoting gender equality, ensuring clean water and sanitation, fostering affordable and clean energy, encouraging decent work and economic growth, building sustainable cities, and taking urgent climate action, all underpinned by a commitment to leave no one behind.
